Chaaye Khana

I’m a majestic place with the aroma of tea all over me. I’m a sanctuary where tea is reduced to being just another beverage. Chaayekhana is what people here call me but don’t worry I serve appealing food too! I’m currently living in F6 near Kohsar Market but I have my doppelgangers at F11 and Bahria Town Phase 4 as well. Although you are all welcome to join me but I mostly prefer a decent mature crowd.

The environment I offer is very relaxing with the subtle soft collection of songs is rare to find in Islamabad. Swiss Polo Chicken is my saltish specialty while my French toast are matchless in the entire city. I prefer Cash so don’t come with an empty wallet! I’m a little expensive because of all the taxes and stuff but I am guaranteed, a place to have the ultimate blessing of tea.

Chaaye khana, a tea-themed high end café is the perfect sanctuary to have a relaxing cup of tea with low soothing music in the background.  It provides a sophisticated, subtle and somber environment and attracts a decent and mature crowd. The music ranges from Coke Studio tracts to ghazals, soothing tracks of 40s or even before the partition and also classic Pakistani pop era of 90s. It’s never too loud to be disturbed rather it offers the perfect blend for a cozy yet self-assuring environment.

Ceasar Salad

The Pakistani nation has been a tea drinking nation since forever. Nothing beats the aroma and flavor of a strong ‘karak chaaye’ or a creamy ‘doodh patti’. This satisfaction of tea was mostly available on low end ‘dhabaas’ or the very posh hotels till Chaayekhana stepped in and became the first modern tea joint in the capital.

and well-known

Chaaye Khana is a guaranteed, a place to have the ultimate blessing of tea.

Tea being their specialty is indeed a classic feature. Chaayekhana claims to serve about 70 different blends of tea flavours. The menu ranges from creamy ‘doodh patti’ to green tea, herbal tea, fruit tea to pink Kashmiri tea as well. They serve 15 different kinds of Black Tea only followed by 10 unique Rooibos Tea. Rooibos is a broom-like member of the Fabaceae family of plants growing in South Africa's fynbos. It has a distinctive bitter taste but it’s very much appreciated by most customers. This huge tea menu comes with mouthwatering menu of breakfast items rangng from desi parathas to waffles and French toasts.

The ambiance has an overall retro vibe to it with classical movie posters on walls and vintage ornaments on their book shelves. The book shelves contain a rich variety ranging from Urdu literature to English classics and contemporary books. The furniture is all wooden with chess tables and small library shelves having a range of elegant tea pots for décor.  Customer trend at Chaaye Khana ranges from white collar professionals, decision makers, ladies, young executives and of course the university generation.

The delicious scrambled eggs, fluff pancakes, fresh croissants, potato samosas and more are the additions to the brunch bar. Apart from this, the menu also has delicious chickens, sandwiches, snacks and desserts which compliments the tea very well. Although the name emphasizes on tea but the beverage’s menu having margaritas is attractive enough for non-tea people to visit the place too.

Everything is delicious and reasonably priced and overall it is recommended to be comfy and calm for either a friends meetups, executives’ brunches or even some quality alone time with a croissant served with tea at a corner at Chaaye khana.
